5 Die In Nevada Helicopter Crash

AP

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - A Department of Energy security helicopter crashed last night during a routine training mission at the Nevada Test Site, killing all 5 people aboard, a department official said. The cause has not been determined, a DOE spokesman said.

The pilots aboard the Messerschmitt BO-105 helicopter, Glenn Ewton and Dennis Longman, were employees of EG&G-Energy Measurements, which works under contract to the federal agency, the spokesman said.

The others killed were identified as employees of Wackenhut Security, a guard service also under contract with the department. They were identified as Richard Lowry, George Tolster and Robert

Brooks.
