Monday Memo

Stolen Slogan?

Wal-Mart also is in trouble with Ernst Home Centers.

In a U.S. District Court lawsuit, Ernst claims Wal-Mart stole Ernst's registered advertising motto, "Always the right price. Always."

After Ernst's ad campaign started, the lawsuit claims, Wal-Mart began using the slogan "Always the low price. Always."

Ernst's lawsuit, filed Friday, asks the court to make Wal-Mart stop using that slogan and pay unspecified damages to Ernst.

There's always work for lawyers. Always.
