Dec Reduces Its Space In Bellevue Office Tower
There's lots of movement at Koll Center Bellevue.
Following Lotus Development Corp.'s decision to move from the Bellevue building to Wright Runstad's Sunset Corporate Campus, also in Bellevue, another major computer company has also decided to leave the building.
Digital Equipment Corp. will vacate an entire 16,500-foot floor, leaving it with 65,000 square feet, according to real estate sources. DEC negotiated a buyout of the space with the landlord, Koll Center Bellevue Joint Venture.
But the news has not been all bad for Koll Center. A Bellevue engineering company, HDR Engineering Inc., has signed a lease to move into between 27,000 and 30,000 square feet of the 460,000-square-foot building.
And real estate sources say a deal is in the works to fill the empty restaurant space on the ground floor, where Dave's American Kitchen recently closed. A lease may be signed within three weeks, the sources said.
