Fort Lewis Command Changes

FORT LEWIS - Lt. Gen. George Crocker, former commander of the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division, will assume command of Fort Lewis and the Army's I Corps tomorrow.

Crocker succeeds Lt. Gen. Caryl Glenn Marsh, who is retiring after 34 years of service.

A change of command ceremony was scheduled for tomorrow morning.

Crocker, 53, previously commanded the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C. He is a 1966 West Point graduate who served two tours of duty in Vietnam.
