Prep Basketball -- Monroe Rallies, Wins In Overtime
LYNNWOOD - Monroe rallied in the fourth quarter to force overtime and then beat Meadowdale 64-62 last night in a Western AA Conference boys basketball game.
Dave Klinzing hit some key baskets in the fourth quarter to help get the Bearcats (9-6, 9-10) into overtime. Klinzing finished with 20 points to pace a balanced Monroe scoring act - Cliff Reilly and Jason Moore each contributed 14 points and Zac Delp added 12.
Monroe led 30-23 at halftime, but Mike Lee scored 10 of his 17 points in the third quarter and Josh Cram scored seven as the Chiefs outscored the Bearcats 23-10 to take a 46-40 lead entering the final period.
Cram joined Lee with 17 points for the Chiefs (5-9, 8-10).

At Arlington 75, Cedarcrest 60 - The Eagles (8-6, 8-10) outscred Cedarcrest (4-10, 5-13) 37-25 in the second half and soared to a season-high 75 points. Gerrit Dickson led Arlington with 17 points and teammate B.J. Breon grabbed 14 rebounds and added 12 points, six in the third quarter. B.J. Coy scored 25 points for Cedarcrest.
Stanwood 61, at South Whidbey 39 - Senior forward Eric Jaccard pumped in 20 points to lead Stanwood (9-5, 11-6). South Whidbey (0-14, 0-18) led 25-22 at halftim, but Stanwood outscored the Falcons 19-8 in the third third. Senior guard Eddie Mulcahy scored eight points for South Whidbey.
University Prep 55, Bush 52 - The Pumas overcame a nine-point halftime deficit to advance to the final round of the Sea-Tac B League tournament. University Prep faces Cascade Christian in the finals today at 2 p.m. at Chief Leschi in Puyallup. The winner will move on to the Tri-District tournament at Arlington next week.
Justin Martinson led University Prep in the third quarter as the Pumas outscored Bush 18-8 to take the lead. Martinson finished with 22 points. Charlie Malley added 15. David Cohen led Bush with 14 points.
King's 66, at Sultan 51 - The second-ranked Knights remained unbeaten, pushing their Cascade A League record to 10-0 and season mark to 19-0.
At Eatonville 71, Yelm 37 - Adam Carlman hit three three-pointer and scored 22 points for the Cruisers (7-9 Pierce County League, 9-9).
