Omak Suicide Race -- Think It Is A Shame Omak Continues Inhumane Race
I was saddened to read that another horse was killed as a result of the Omak suicide race. This totals 13 horses killed since 1984.
I could care less about the three riders who were injured. They have a choice whether they participate or not in this stupid race, but not their mounts.
I think it is a shame that Omak continues this inhumane race.
Jack Miller, the stampede's director, is quoted as saying he is extremely grateful that 97 percent of the Omak populace support this event. All I can say is that Miller and the residents of Omak are a sick society.
