Wizards Of The Coast Buys Game Keeper Retail Chain

SEATTLE - Wizards of the Coast, the Renton games manufacturer, has acquired The Game Keeper, one of the nation's largest specialty-games retail chains. Terms were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Santa Barbara, Calif., The Game Keepers operates 53 retail game stores and plans to open more than 100 seasonal stores across the country. Besides providing interactive experience with game demonstrations and more than 2,500 game products and accessories, it sells chess sets, puzzles, backgammon, dominoes, cribbage, cards and board games.
