SEATTLE - Providence Home Infusion will assume control of Franciscan Health System's home-infusion services later this month.
The move, effective Nov. 22, will affect 175 patients in King and Pierce counties who receive intravenous therapy in their homes from Franciscan's clinical staff.
Providence also will provide infusion services to Franciscan's three hospitals and its hospice.
The companies are working to transfer as many Franciscan employees as possible to Providence's infusion team, officials said.
Both Seattle-based Providence and Tacoma-based Franciscan are nonprofit health-care companies.
