Lucy Lawless just can't keep from working in shows marked X. No, Euphemia, not that kind of X. Lucy's long-running "Xena: Warrior Princess" just ended and now she's signed for the first two episodes of "The X-Files." The usually tight-lipped "X" folks aren't telling anything about her role, but she could have additional appearances. The show's season premiere is Nov. 4.
"West Wing" fans can relax. Allison Janney, Richard Schiff, Bradley Whitford and John Spencer have agreed to stay through the 2005 season after their paychecks were more than doubled, according to The Hollywood Reporter and Variety. That's $70,000 each, up from $30,000. No, possums, that's not per year.
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston may have convinced the rumor-mongers that she is not with child, but the new Golden Couple has acquired a $13.5 million Beverly Hills pad — with six bedrooms. Hmmm. The L.A. Times says Brad and Jennifer bought the restored 12,000-square-foot house once owned by Oscar-winner Fredric March. No view, sez the Times, but a screening room, a wine cellar and a tennis court. And those six bedrooms.
New Golden Couple, you splutter? Whom would you have succeed Cruise and Kidman? No offense, but surely not Drew Barrymore and Tom Green. Mouse-lickers need not apply.
