In the mood for a Christmas cruise in Seattle?

The 52nd annual Christmas Ship Festival is now afloat, led by the twinkling "Spirit of Seattle," the official Christmas Ship of Argosy Cruises.

Loaded with holiday revelers and Christmas choirs, the Christmas Ship leads a festive parade of Argosy boats and private vessels nightly to waterfront spots on Lake Washington, Lake Union and Elliott Bay. Wherever you are, the parade will be: The festival kicked off in Kirkland last weekend but will continue from piers in Seattle, Tacoma, Edmonds, Bremerton and Des Moines.

A portion of ticket sales from the Christmas Ship Festival benefits The Seattle Times Fund for the Needy, which raises money for local charities and social-service providers. Tickets are $17-$27 to ride aboard the Christmas Ship and $13-$18 for parade boats.

The festival runs nightly through Dec. 23. Some dates are sold out. For more information: 206-623-1445 or visit www.argosycruises.com.
