Banking: Karen Skillings, Stacy Nicolet and Karen Mertins were named branch managers at Washington Federal Savings. Kirk Bottles was appointed executive vice president at EverTrust Bank, Everett.

Cruise ships: Robert Ferguson was named regional sales director and Jeremy Ravetz was promoted to corporate chef at Cruise West.

Health care: Deborah Field-Levy will head a new Spectera office. Grant Pickering was promoted to vice president of operations at Dendreon.

Law: Susan Thorbrogger was named chairwoman of the business and tax practice section and Bradley Thoreson chairman of the real-estate section at Short Cressman & Burgess. Mark Smith was hired as an associate and Kirk McKenzie and John Huston were named of counsel at Smith McKenzie Rothwell & Barlow. David Clarke was named a partner at Perkins Coie. Richard Ellingsen was elected firmwide managing partner at Davis Wright Tremaine.

Maritime: George Harris was promoted to vice president at Northwest Marine Trade Association.

Real estate: Mike Alderson, Sean Ngo, Chris McDaniel and David Reynolds were hired as sales associates at Windermere Real Estate.
