Tuiasosopo charged with felony
Seattle Times staff reporter
Zach Tuiasosopo, University of Washington fullback, was charged with felony malicious mischief in the first degree yesterday in connection with an incident at Fisherman's Terminal on May 10.
Tuiasosopo, who will be a junior this fall, is accused of causing damage to four motor vehicles.
Tuiasosopo, 21, will be arraigned in King County Court on June 17. Tuiasosopo, the younger brother of former UW quarterback Marques Tuiasosopo and the son of former Seahawk Manu Tuiasosopo, faces up to 90 days in jail if convicted.
Tuiasosopo is accused of bashing in the windows of four cars and causing estimated damage of $6,753.98. He is quoted in the police report as saying he was drunk at the time and didn't remember what happened but wanted to pay for anything he did.
Tuiasosopo ended spring practice in a tight battle with sophomore Ty Eriks of O'Dea for UW's starting fullback job.
