Day 22 highlights

Seattle Times staff reporter

Practices: One full-pads practice in the morning and one limited-contact practice in the afternoon.

Stars of the day: RB Kerry Carter, who picked up corner and safety blitzes with solid blocks and enabled QB Matt Hasselbeck to complete passes. Also WR Alex Bannister, whose catches and consistency are daily occurrences in camp.

Big play: Hasselbeck hit RB Shaun Alexander for a first down on a quick-out pass on fourth-and-8 in situational drills.

Crowd: 410 in morning, 123 in the afternoon.

Temperatures: 81 degrees in the morning, 89 in the afternoon.

Just for kicks: Kicker Josh Brown got the morning practice off to rest his leg, giving Remy Hamilton an opportunity to try field goals. Hamilton made 3 of 4, the longest from 43 yards. Coach Mike Holmgren said he didn't even notice Brown wasn't practicing until Hamilton lined up for his first field goal.
