Storm's injured list
|
Height: 6-2. Weight: 186.
Age: 23, born Oct. 13, 1980 in Vicksburg, Miss.
College: Louisiana Tech, 2004.
Hometown: Vicksburg, Miss.
Acquired: Drafted by Storm in second round (19th overall) this spring.
Game time: Frierson's affordable rookie salary ($31,620) and talent inside kept her on the team over some veterans. She missed all of training camp because of arthroscopic surgery on her left knee, but is making progress and could join practice by mid-June. Storm coach Anne Donovan isn't known for using rookies much, keeping them as practice players. But Frierson, an all-WAC first-team member, could contribute rebounding and offense. Averaged 16.2 points as a senior.
Opera queen: Frierson watches soap operas as a way to kick back. "The Bold and the Beautiful" is her favorite afternoon pleasure, but she also tunes in to "The Young and the Restless." "I'm a big soap opera fan," she said before giving an elaborate update.
AKA: Tri (TREE).
