Rainiers pour it on in eighth
Greg Dobbs' three-run double keyed Tacoma's seven-run eighth inning as the Rainiers came back to beat Portland 7-3 in a Pacific Coast League game yesterday.
Yuniesky Betancourt opened the Rainiers' eighth with a two-run single. Jamal Strong finished 2 for 4 with an RBI single, while Aaron Rifkin added a run-scoring double.
Tacoma's Felix Hernandez pitched a scoreless seventh but gave up three runs without recording an out in the eighth. The Mariners' 19-year-old star prospect is recovering from right shoulder bursitis.
