NW briefs: UW hoop tickets on sale Monday
Season tickets for Washington men's basketball go on sale Monday at the Husky Ticket Office.
Season tickets are available in the $375 bleacher-with-back and $300 bleacher-without-back seating areas.
Season ticket prices are based on a 17-game home schedule.
The Huskies went 15-0 at home last season and have won 22 straight overall at home — the nation's fourth-longest streak.
EWU releases
hoops schedule
Washington, Marquette, Gonzaga and Brigham Young highlight the nonconference basketball schedule for the Eastern Washington men.
The Eagles visit UW on Dec. 16, then Gonzaga on Dec. 19 and Brigham Young on Dec. 27. They open the season at home Nov. 19 against Pacific Lutheran. EWU plays Marquette in Alaska.
Seafair Torchlight Run
The annual Seafair Torchlight Run, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. tomorrow, will take runners through downtown Seattle streets packed with spectators along the Torchlight Parade route.
The 8K (4.97 miles) and 5K (3.1 miles) runs begin and finish near Qwest Field.
Soccer
Scott Baldwin scored the winning goal in the final minute as the U.S. men beat Mexico 3-2 to advance to the finals of the All Nations Cup tournament at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila.
The United States will face Brazil, which beat Iraq 2-1 in the other semifinal, in the championship game on Sunday.
Rowing
Members of the Sammamish Rowing Association earned three gold medals recently at the World Masters Games in Canada.
Hanna Yuse, Wendy Beeman, Theresa Knakal and Sandra McGinnis took first in the women's "B" fours. Yuse, Nancy Myers, Beeman and Tammy Smith won the "C" fours, and Dan Voicu and Sandra McGinnis won the mixed "B" pairs.

Seth Harvey, a right-handed pitcher from River Ridge High School in Lacey, also confirmed he has committed to WSU.
