Boeing 787: Build globally, assemble locally
Boeing this month will complete its design of the 787's main features, and then the detailed work on components will be handed off to suppliers around the world. The color-coded chart below, based on internal Boeing documents, shows the complex logistics of building and moving 787 parts across the globe before final assembly in Everett.
