Multiple bodies found in upscale home in Victoria suburb

The Associated Press

VICTORIA, British Columbia — Police in the wealthy Victoria suburb of Oak Bay say multiple people were found dead in a home early Tuesday.

Victoria radio station CFAX reports that as many as five bodies have been found in an apparent murder-suicide.

Maureen Ross, who lives in the area, says a young family — a man and woman in their mid-thirties with two children between the ages of four and eight-years-old — live in the home.

Another neighbor who didn't want to be named says the mother-in-law had recently arrived from Korea to stay with the family.

The windows of the home have been blown out, police in white outfits are inside the home investigating, and uniformed officers are outside the home guarding the perimeter.

The home had recently been listed for sale at a price of more than $1 million.
