A men's crew from the Polish Rowing Federation and women's crews from Navy and the University of Melbourne in Australia will provide the competition for Washington Huskies varsity crews in the Windermere Cup races, set for the opening day of boating season May 3.
The UW men's varsity is the defending national collegiate champion.
Races are scheduled to begin at 10:20 a.m. that Saturday, and the regatta includes other local and non-local college, community and club rowing teams.

The winner will be announced June 4.
