All the district's schools rank high in state and national achievement standards and three-quarters of its teachers hold master's degrees or higher.
Two community groups -- the Bainbridge Education Support Team and the Bainbridge Public Schools Trust -- raise supplemental funds for the district.
Superintendent: Ken Crawford has guided the district since July 2002 after serving four years as deputy superintendent.

Funding: The $6.1 million technology levy request and a $45 million bond measure were approved in 2006. An operations levy was ratified with 76 percent approval in February 2007.
